[Source:] Mitch Winehouse has hinted that his daughter, the late singer Amy Winehouse, could appear as a hologram on stage in the future.

Ever since Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg brought a hologram of Tupac onstage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April this year, the prospect of digitally resurrecting deceased iconic performers has been a big talking point, with the likes of Elvis Presley, Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix all mooted as possible candidates to appear as holograms.

Speaking to The Sun, Mitch – who recently revealed that there were two more posthumous Amy Winehouse albums in the pipeline – said he was eager to explore any option which could keep the legacy of his daughter's music career alive.

He said:

"The most important thing to Amy was the music and I'm sure a lot of people would like to hear her sing again. It depends on what Amy's fans want as a way to keep her memory alive. If it's a book, an album or a hologram, then so be it."

However, Mitch did say that he wouldn't personally be interested in seeing a hologram of his daughter perform, adding: "I can't watch Amy on TV or listen to her songs, it's really difficult."

Amy Winehouse was found dead at her Camden home on the afternoon of July 23, 2011. She was 27-years-old. Coroners later confirmed that the singer, who had battled drink and drug addiction for several years, had died of alcohol poisoning.

After her death, the singer's family set up a charitable trust in her name, The Amy Winehouse Foundation, which aims to provides support for "young people, especially those who are in need by reason of ill health, disability, ?nancial disadvantage or addiction". A posthumous compilation of previously unreleased recordings, 'Lioness: Hidden Treasures', was released in aid of the foundation last December. It debuted at Number One on the UK albums chart and has since gone double platinum.
