[Source: ToneDeaf.com.au] This Just-In, sexy crooner and Saturday Night Live favourite Justin Timberlake could be bringing sexy back to Australia next year following a mammoth stadium trek across the globe.

As Billboard reports, The 20/20 Experience World Tour kicks off this October, and though it is so far only confirmed for two countries – the U.S. and Canada – that “more dates and cities throughout North America, Europe, South America and Australia will be announced later.”

The confirmed dates for the new global trek begins on Halloween in Montreal, with dates around his native home in cities such as Memphis, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Orlando.

This is Timberlake’s fist solo world tour in six years, with his last global venture including a visit to Australian shores in 2007 in support of sophomore effort FutureSex/LoveSounds. A possible 2014 tour could see a similar tour schedule to the last, which saw 12 arena shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

The former NSYNC singer released his third solo effort, The 20/20 Experience earlier this year after a seven year hiatus from music. While focussing on acting roles between albums, Timberlake was also announced as one of the new fiscal and creative minds behind the rebooting of social media website Myspace, which had seen dire days since the popularisation of Facebook.

Timberlake bought the fledging website for $35 million dollars despite it being valued at $580 million just a few years prior.

His latest musical effort however, is seen as a return to form for the RnB influenced pop singer with the effort selling over 1 million copies in its first week of sales, after a clever marketing strategy of media exposure that included giving his album away for free.

In the face of the 1 million opening week sales, Timberlake was subsequently been welcomed into the upper echelons of music royalty: an exclusive club of musicians who have managed to debut #1 in both their respective solo and band careers.

Timberlake being the sixth person to pass ‘through the doors’ so to speak, following the likes of three of the four Beatles (McCartney, Lennon, and Harrison), Eminem and Beyonce. His past NSync days served him well in this context; the boy band’s 2000 album No Strings Attached sold 2.42 million units upon release in its debut week.

Yesterday it was announced via Timberlake’s own Instagram, that he will be releasing more music by the end of the year. The ‘sequel’, aptly named The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2) is set for release on September 30, right before he heads of on his whirlwind international tour.

Part two will include ten new songs, with producer Jerome “J-Roc” Harmon recently telling Billboard the second 2013 Timberlake album will mix unreleased material from the first 20/20 album with brand new studio sessions.

Released in March, The 20/20 Experience was given an 8 out of 10 rating from our Tone Deaf reviewer, who cites “there’s perhaps no-one closer to the heart of modern pop than Justin Timberlake – his newfound maturity is just as enjoyable and addictive as his obnoxious youth.”

Ticketek have announced a waitlist for the upcoming yet unconfirmed Australian tour, which, while highly unusual, is probably a means to curb the unbelievable demand for an impending Timberlake visit.
